Not Feeling Great With Your Partner? It Could Be a Sign You Are in a Wrong Relationship

Sometimes, you tend to get into a relationship that isn’t right for you. It is probably because we accept the love we think we deserve. But when you are in a wrong relationship it doesn’t only make your life a chaos, it takes a toll on your mental and emotional health too. And therefore, you should get out of such a relationship as early as possible.

A relationship cannot be as smooth as it’s shown in video love songs. It has many layers. The very first days of your relationship can show you heaven; but when the honeymoon period gets over, it turns out to be sour. This all happens because you are probably in a wrong relationship. However, if you are still unable to find out whether you are in a wrong relationship or not, here are a few ways to find out –
  1. You no longer feel confident about yourself– Relationships are meant to make you feel happy, fulfilled and confident about yourself. But when you are in a wrong relationship, you start questioning everything about yourself. You no longer feel like yourself; you no longer see anything good about you. Everything you liked or everything that made you feel unique about yourself, no longer exists in your life.
  2. You are constantly trying to prove your worth – Upon getting into a wrong relationship with the wrong person, you will keep trying to prove your worth and it still won’t matter. Love isn’t what a relationship is all about. You also need the same amount of affection, importance and assurance from the other person that you are with. Validation and worth have to come naturally. And if you are not getting it without asking, then you are probably with the wrong person.
  3. You broke up with yourself – When you are with the wrong person, you break up with yourself. And you probably don’t even realize that. You start feeling hatred for yourself, you no longer chase your dreams and you don’t feel excited about dressing up, making yourself feel good. This is probably because you are with the wrong person.
  4. You keep blaming each other – For every simple thing you keep blaming each other. And it becomes toxic day by day.
  5. You both are poles apart – It’s true that opposite attracts, but it doesn’t mean that you can be with someone who is poles apart. If you are someone who loves spending time with friends and loves to hangout, it will be very difficult for you to survive with someone who is not much outdoorsy, and only likes to stay home, go Netflix and Chill. Being the social butterfly that you are, being with a partner like that can turn out to be catastrophic for your mental and physical health.
Being in a relationship doesn’t have to be a huge deal. It should make you feel complete and happy and not suffocated. If you are feeling any of the above, it is probably because you are not with the right person. Take some time and get out of the relationship. Live with yourself and have fun alone- that would be less suffocating!
